This volume presents results of the European project "Comparative Analysis of Regional Policies for Adult Learning" (REGIONAL) which examined the way adult learning policies are formulated, implemented and financed at regional level in six European countries.

 

For this purpose the study focussed on political and practical processes which are of great importance to all stakeholders of publicly funded adult education. Six profiles covering 21 regions in Germany, Italy, Ireland, Serbia, Hungary and Slovakia illustrate the individual economic, social and cultural frameworks and contexts which influence policy making.
